Main Research interests: International Industry, Industrial Policy, Innovation Policy, Development and Structural Change, Political Economy, Transition and Sustainability, Italy/Europe Industry and Economy, American Industry and Economy, China's Industry and Economy.

He has authored and co-authored several books and about 150 scientific papers.
