Marco Cadavero focuses his research on the development of Neurodiversity Pedagogy framework, with particular attention to individuals on the Autism Spectrum and those with Intellectual Disabilities. His work is aimed at developing educational and training models that promote inclusion, self-determination, and quality of life in educational, social, and work contexts.

His main research areas include:

  • Executive Functions and Self-Regulated Learning, through the analysis and implementation of evidence-based programs designed to enhance cognitive, metacognitive, and socio-emotional skills.
  • Universal Design for Working (UDW), involving the development of guidelines and operational tools to foster accessibility and inclusion in organizational settings, within the framework of Diversity Management. His research project on UDW, funded by the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and conducted at the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region, aims to experiment with innovative models of consultancy, training, and compliance assessment to promote inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplaces.
  • Cognitive-Affective Education and CARE Coaching, with the design of personalized educational interventions aimed at supporting the development of socio-affective skills, agency, and self-determination in neurodivergent individuals.
  • Sexuality and Affective Education in Disability, through the creation of educational pathways that promote body awareness, affectivity, and sexuality, with a focus on empowerment and rights-based approaches.
  • Workplace Inclusion and Transition to Adulthood, with specific attention to the development of independent living and personalized employment pathways for people with disabilities.
