Marco Antonio Boschetti

Marco Antonio Boschetti is a full professor of Operational Research in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bologna. He received his PhD in Operational Research from the Management School at Imperial College London in 1999. From 2016 to 2024, he was an associate professor of Mathematical Methods for Economics, Finance and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Bologna.

His main research and consulting interests are in the fields of operational research and management science. In particular, his work focuses on exact and heuristic solution methods and algorithms based on mathematical programming and combinatorial optimization. These algorithms can be integrated into software systems that support decision-making through prescriptive analytics, a field at the intersection of optimization and artificial intelligence.
