Manuela Presutti was born in Pescara (Italy). She
earned her Bachelor in Management from the Luiss Guido Carli
University of Rome, Italy, in 1997. In 2003, she
took a Ph.D in Management at the University of Bologna,
Department of Management. In 2004 she joined the Department of
Business Studies, University of Uppsala, as Visiting
Scholar, where she conducted research on the impact of
social capital on internationalization process, together with
prof. Mats Forsgren.
From 2005 to 2010 she was an Assistant Professor at the
Faculty of Economy of the University of Bologna.Since 2010 she is
an Associate Professor of Management. She teaches Management of
Tourism at the Faculty of Economy of Rimini (Bologna).
Manuela Presutti's main research activity was originally
focused on small firms and internationalisation process. During the
last years, her research interest
have included the analysis ofsocial networks, the tie between
social capital and new firms creation, inudstrial clusters. Most of
her scientific production is about New Business
Development,
Entrepreneurship, and Social Capital. On these topics she has
publications on national journals and international journals.
