Ludovica Rosato holds a PhD in Design and is currently a Researcher at the Department of Architecture, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, where she is a member of the Advanced Design Unit. She collaborates with the group in both teaching and research activities, focusing on the relationship between design, sustainability, and circular innovation. In 2023, she
obtained her PhD with a thesis on the role of the designer in the sustainable and circular transition of polymers, developed through an experimental study in the textile sector. This research combined theoretical investigation with applied experimentation, contributing to the understanding of how design can guide material innovation towards circularity. Subsequently, she was engaged in the Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile (MICS) research programme (PNRR – PE11), where she worked on the development of a platform for sustainable and circular textiles in the Made in Italy context. She is currently a Junior Researcher (RTD-A), and her research interests include material design, systemic approaches to sustainability, and the cultural dimensions of circular transitions.
