Short Bio

I am currently working as a research fellow at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Bologna.

My central research area is in ontology and metaphysics in German idealism, particularly in the philosophy of the late Schelling. I am especially interested in philosophy of nature, theory of space and time, and the concepts of existence, individuality and plurality. I am also interested in Kant’s philosophy and in the post-Kantian philosophical tradition as well as in contemporary phenomenology and existentialism.

I recently completed a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Bologna and at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (cotutelle) with a dissertation entitled “Idee, Natur, Geist. Schellings allgemeine Ontologie des Wirklichen nach der ‘Darstellung des Naturprocesses’ von 1843/44” under the supervision of Prof. Luca Guidetti and Prof. Thomas Buchheim.

Prior to that, I did a MA in Philosophy at the University of Bologna and at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (double title degree) and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Bologna.
