Short Bio

Ludovica Neri is a postdoctoral research fellow in Theoretical Philosophy, currently working on a project titled The Philosophy of Nature of the Late Schelling: Theoretical and Epistemological Issues (supervisor: Prof. Luca Guidetti).

In 2024, she obtained a Ph.D. in Theoretical Philosophy from the University of Bologna in co-tutelle agreement with Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (supervisors: Prof. Luca Guidetti and Prof. Thomas Buchheim).

She previously completed a Master’s Degree in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Bologna (2018), a Master’s in Philosophie at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2018), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy at the University of Bologna (2015).

Her research focuses on German Idealism, particularly on the thought of the late Schelling and his dialogue with Kant, as well as on existentialism and contemporary phenomenology, with special attention to Karl Jaspers.

Moreover, her research aims to investigate the connections between German Idealism—especially Schelling’s philosophy of nature—and contemporary debates in the field of critical ecological feminism.
