Master’s theses: guidelines and timelines

Students wishing to write their thesis under my supervision should contact me by email:

  • at least six months in advance for a Bachelor’s thesis;

  • at least nine months in advance for a Master’s thesis.

These timeframes refer to the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the online system. Relevant deadlines are available on the degree programme website [https://corsi.unibo.it/laurea/Filosofia/prova-finale] .

Thesis projects must be agreed upon with the supervisor. Students who have not taken my examination must obtain approval for any exception from the Degree Programme Board.

When writing the thesis, students must adopt a consistent editorial style [1], comply with copyright regulations [2, 3], and strictly adhere to the University Policy on the Ethical and Responsible Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence [4]:

[1] Guidelines for writing essays and theses [https://corsi.unibo.it/laurea/Filosofia/laboratorio-di-filosofia-norme-per-la-redazione-del-saggio-finale]
[2] Copyright protection (Philosophy)
[3] Copyright protection (Philosophical Sciences)
[4] University Policy on the Ethical and Responsible Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence [https://www.unibo.it/en/university/organisation-and-campuses/ai/ai]

Further and more detailed guidance will be provided individually, based on the specific features of the agreed thesis project.
