Born in Imola (Bologna) –Italy-  on January 17th , 1960.

Master  cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering on October,27th 1983 at the “Università degli Studi di Bologna”.

Ph. D. in 1988 in Applied Mechanics and Machine Design.

Career

1984-1985 he works at the OTO Melara Spa La Spezia Factory, Design Dept.

where he works on simulations for the following armoured vehicles:

  • 4x25 self-propelled armoured antiaircraft tank for the Italian Army based on FMC armoured personnel carrier M 113
  • OTO C13, a newly conceived armoured personnel carrier
  • M 113 and “Camillino” for the Italian Army
  • Self propelled armoured howitzer “Palmaria”

1986 works for the Calderini Factory for the installation of new machines (two new multicolour offset rotative machines)

1986 passes the test and became Professor for the secondary school

1986-1988 studies and successfully finishes the PhD in Applied Mechanics and Machine Design

1989 works at the secondary school ITIS Belluzzi in Bologna

1990 became Researcher at the University of Bologna

1998 became Associate Professor at the University of Bologna

2000 became Associate Professor at the University of Bologna at the Forlì Site.

 

Scientific CURRICULUM

He specializes in CAD/CAM/CAE applied to Aerospace, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. He has been consultant for supercomputers at the CINECA site from 1991 to 1998.
