Luca Pasquini is Full Professor of Experimental Physics of Matter at the University of Bologna and leads the N-REX research group. His research focuses on the physics of materials for energy conversion and storage, with particular emphasis on the interaction of hydrogen with materials and on semiconductor materials for the photoelectrochemical conversion of solar energy.
His work is devoted to understanding the physical mechanisms governing mass and charge transport, phase transformations, and interfacial phenomena in materials for energy conversion and storage.
His research is carried out within national and international collaborations, where he coordinates research projects and research units on renewable energy technologies. He is the author of about 140 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals that have received more than 6000 citations with an h-index of 38 (Google Scholar).
