Education:

2014 Ph.D in Philological and Literary Studies on Ancient Near East and Pre-Islamic Iran (Studi Filologici e Letterari sul Vicino Oriente Antico e l’Iran Pre-Islamico) at Sapienza, University of Rome.

2008 MA Degree in Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage at the Faculty of Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna (110/110 cum laude).

2004 Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Heritage - Archaeology at the Faculty of Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna (110/110).

 

Teaching Activities:

From 2020: Junior assistant professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna and teacher in charge of the courses of Archaeology of Pre-Islamic Historical South Asia and Archaeology of the Indo-Iranian Borderland.

2016 - 2020: Adjunct Professor at School of Arts, Humanities and Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna and teacher in charge of the course of Archeologia dell'India Storica Preislamica (Archaeology of Historical Pre-Islamic India) - L-OR/16.

2015 - Present: Tutor of the course of 'Archeologia e Storia dell'Arte Iranica / Archeologia e Storia dell'Arte Iranica II' (https://elearning-cds.unibo.it/course/view.php?id=5403), full prof. P Callieri, at the School of Arts, Humanities, and Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna.

2011 - 2012: Adjunct Lecturer and Trustee of a didactic module of 30 hours (6 credits) in Archaeology of pre-Islamic Iran - L-OR/16 (full prof. P Callieri) at the Faculty Conservation of Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

2010 - 2011: Trustee of a didactic module of 30 hours (6 credits) in Archaeology of pre-Islamic Iran - L-OR/16 (full prof. P Callieri) at the Faculty Conservation of Cultural Heritage of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

2011 - Present: Member (archaeologist), and from 2018 deputy director of MAIKI - Italian Archaeological Mission in Iraqi Kurdistan (Sapienza, University of Rome).

2005 - Present: Member (archaeologist, sector manager and Temporary Deputy Director) of the Irano-Italian Archaeological Mission in Fars (ICAR & Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna), directed by Prof. Alireza Askari Chaverdi (University of Shiraz) and Prof. Pierfrancesco Callieri (Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna).

1999 - Present: Member (archaeologist and sector manager) of the Italian Archaeological Mission in Pakistan (ISMEO), directed by Dr. Luca Maria Olivieri.

2011 - 2015: Member (archaeologist and supervisor of the archaeological sector) of the Italian MAE-Sapienza Cooperation Project “Safeguard and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage in Iraqi Kurdistan” directed by Prof. Carlo G. Cereti (Sapienza, University of Rome).

2011 - 2012: Member (archaeologist) of the Irano-Italian Archaeological Mission in Iran (ICAR & Sapienza, University of Rome), directed by Prof. Maria Vittoria Fontana (Sapienza, University of Rome).
