Luana Scrivano

Luana received a MSc in Clinical Psychology from UNIBO and BD in Psychological Sciences and Techniques from the University of Catania, both summa cum laude. In 2019, she moved to Manchester and she was granted the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership by the British Psychological Society. Her interests span between the academic and outpatient care fields. She worked as a mental health recovery support worker for adults with mental disabilities and she also volunteered for independent local mental health charities. Luana is intrigued by the body-mind connection and she is a supporter of healthy lifestyles, promoting fitness, physical activity and wholesome nutrition as well as emotional well-being, self-awareness and self-love. Her PhD project focuses on Active Mobility and understanding the relationship between active transport modes and mental health, and how this can improve people’s quality of life and the environment in which they live.
