Lorna Piazzi

Lorna Piazzi holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and has extensive experience in academic research, European project management, and international doctoral training. With a background in medicinal chemistry, she has developed strong expertise in coordinating large-scale EU-funded projects, particularly Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

She is currently Project Manager of TClock4AD, an MSCA Doctoral Network Joint Doctorate involving 13 academic and industrial partners across Europe, the UK, and Israel, and 17 doctoral candidates working on Alzheimer’s disease research. She oversees consortium coordination, reporting, doctoral training, mobility, and international events.

Previously, she worked at the University of Bologna, ICIQ, and the Italian Institute of Technology in research administration, training, and financial management for ERC and ITN projects. She has authored 23 peer-reviewed publications.
