Livia ASSUNÇÃO (1981) holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (Portuguese) from the University of Bologna, Italy (2013), a MA in Brazilian Portuguese and Literature from the University of Siena, Italy (2009), a B.A. in Portuguese Language and Literature (2006) and a Specialization in Portuguese as a Second Language from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2009). Currently, she is Research fellow and Adjunct Professor of Portuguese and Brazilian Language and Linguistic at the University of Bologna (Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures), Italy. Livia has published several chapters in books and articles in journals on themes related to foreign language teaching and learning, language teaching methodology, Portuguese as an additional language and Portuguese for Italian speakers.
