Lisa Branchini

Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Industrial Engineering (DIN), she conducts research in the field of energy systems and fluid machinery. Her research interests focus in particular on the integration of gas turbines and microturbines with renewable energy sources and Waste-to-Energy systems, the analysis of cogeneration and micro-cogeneration systems, polygeneration networks, and Organic Rankine Cycle systems for heat recovery from medium- and low-enthalpy sources.

Author of more than 100 international publications and one monograph, she is a member of ASME-IGTI scientific committees and serves in editorial roles for international journals. She has received several international awards from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, including the Young Engineer Travel Award, the John P. Davis Award, and the ASME IGTI Dilip R. Ballal Early Career Engineering Award.
