Keywords: organic materials hydrogels 2D-3D and 4D-printing luminescent compounds organic synthesis nanoparticles and nanomedicine

Research on organic materials for application in organic electronics, gels, drug delivery and 2D-3D and 4D-printing. Particular attention is devoted to the chemical modification, functionalization and formulation of biomaterials to get smart materials responding to external stimuli such as heat, light, ultrasounds, pH, etc.

Past research interested included the synthesis and the development of new organic materials and new ligands for neutral and charged metal complexes to be employed in organic electronics; the development of new methodologies for reactions frequently employed both in the industry and in the academic based on the use of new Lewis acid systems. These new Lewis acids have to be cheap, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and reusable.
