His scientific activity is regarding first the mathematical-physics
field, where he studies,
both numerically and analitically, several problems about non
linear wave propagation, in
particular the evolution of second sound in superfluid helium and
in highly pure crystals.
Second, he is developing physical and mathematical applications in
the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage,
obtaining in particular results about the planning and the
experimentation
of new shape memory devices for the restoration and about the multispectral surveys.
