Leonardo Sandrolini received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in 1995
from the University of Bologna and since the same year he is a
chartered engineer.
From 1996 to 1997 he worked at Balli Trading Limited in London,
United Kingdom.
In 2000 he received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Bologna.
From 2000 to 2001 he worked in the Department of Electrical
Engineering of the University of Bologna under a post-doctoral
university grant. In April 2001 he became a Researcher at the same
Department.
In 2002 he was a Visiting Scholar at the School of Electrical and
Electronic Engineering, the University of Nottingham, United
Kingdom.
Since 2004 he is a Tenured Researcher with the Department of
Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo
Marconi" (formerly Department of Electrical Engineering) of the
University of Bologna
He is currently an Aggregate Professor at the Faculty of
Engineering, University of Bologna, teaching the course
"Electromagnetic Compatibility and Laboratory" for Electrical
Engineering and Automation Engineering and "Laboratory of
Automation Systems - Part B" for Automation Engineering.
From 2002 to 2008 he was Adjunct Professor at the University of
Modena and Reggio Emilia, where he taught 7 courses in the field of
electrotechnics.
He participates to and is also the scientific coordinator of
research projects in cooperation with other Italian Universities,
research bodies and companies and cooperates actively with
researchers of foreign universities and companies.
He is member of the IEEE-EMC Society since 2000. He is member of
the Curricular Practical Training Committee for all courses of
Electrical Engineering of the University of Bologna since 2004. He
was member of the Executive Board of the Department of Electrical
Engineering from 2001 to 2007, and of the Committee for the
Management of the Faculty of Engineering Library from 2008 to
2011.
Since 2012 he is the Scientific Coordinator of the Laboratory of
Elettromagnetic Compatibility LACEM, Department of Electrical,
Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi",
University of Bologna.
He is reviewer for the journals IEEE Transactions on
Electromagnetic Compatibility, Industrial Electronics and
Magnetics, Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications,
COMPEL, Renewable Energy, Applied Energy, Energies, Journal of
Applied Geophysics, Electric Power Systems Research, and for some
international conferences.
