Curriculum vitae

Graduated cum laude at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum in 2015.

From 2015 to 2017 she collaborated with the Free University of Bozen as a research fellow, where she had the opportunity to explore issues related to the right of personal data protection. In particular, she developed three different research projects covering, respectively, the legal aspects of cloud computing, the transfer of personal data abroad in the context of trade relations between the European Union and third countries and, lastly, the role of companies in protecting human rights and environmental sustainability (CSR), with a particular focus on the type and effectiveness of private sector regulations, such as contracts and codes of conduct.

From 2017 to 2018 she was research fellow at the Polytechnic University of Turin where she joined the PoliTo Law & Technology Research Group, within the Department of Management Engineering. During this period she developed the research project "HuManS - Human Centered Manufacturing Systems" related to the human-machine interaction in the Industry 4.0 sector, with an in-depth analysis of the legal implications regarding the protection of personal data.
She also took part to the European Horizon 2020 project on "Privacy Ethical Societal Impact Assessment", aimed at identifying and analyzing the ethical and social values involved in the protection of personal data with the aim of creating a risk assessment model deriving from the data processing and the impact of data on individuals and, in particular, on their personal ethical and social sphere. Within the same project, she then deepened the discipline of personal data protection in the health sector, with specific reference to the use of wearable devices and mHealth applications and the impact of such devices on the ethical and social values of individuals.

Between 2018 and 2023 she worked as research fellow at the Department of Legal Science of the Bologna School of Law within the project "Data processing in the health-care sector: the impact of Reg. (EU) 2016/679 and operating requirements for compliance".

She is currently research fellow at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences of Alma Mater Bologna University of Bologna within the project "European Data Governance: Regulatory opportunities for data reuse in clinical and medical fields".
