Full Professor in English Language and Culture at the University of Bologna. His research is carried out in the areas of cultural studies with regard to Britain and Ireland, the history of translation and heritage studies. He is at present member of the Self Steering Committee of the university alliance UNA Europa. From 2011 he has worked with the European Cultural Route ATRIUM (Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes in Europe’s Urban Memory). He is the author of over 70 scientific publications.
