Ivan Corazza was born in Bologna in 1973. He was graduate in
Physics at the University of Bologna in 1997, with a thesis about
numerical analysis of ECG signals in patients submitted to cardiac
transplantation. After degree, he worked as R&D in an medical
devices manufacturer deeping his knowledge in electronic and CPU
programming, projecting and fully developing systems to measure PH
in stomach along 24 hours. Then he was back at the University of
Bologna, working in different European and Italian Research
Programs. His interests were focused on:
- biomechanical
characterization of heart and cardiovascular system;
- new technological approach
to study non invasively the cardiovascular system;
- analysis of cardiovascular
and neurological signals during autonomic nervous system
investigation;
- CO2 angiography;
- tissues mechanics.
During his work, he contributed to develop a digital polygraphic
system to acquire biosignals and, in collaboration with the
Institute of Neurology of the University of Bologna, he made a
complete software for the analysis of the cardiovascular and
neurological parameters to evaluate the autonomic nervous
system.
He is Associate Professor at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences of the University of
Bologna in Applied Physics (SSD FIS/07).
