Short Bio

Irfan Ullah is a PhD student in the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering (DICAM) at the University of Bologna. He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar and an MS in Remote Sensing and GIS from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. He served as a Teaching Assistant at l'Institute of Geographical Information Systems, NUST, and as a Research Assistant at the Intelligent Information Processing Laboratory at the National Center of Excellence, UET Peshawar.

His research interests focus on mineral exploration, ore reserve geostatistical estimation, and resources exploitation, by integrating different data sources (geological, geophysical, remote sensing, etc.) using machine learning techniques. The PhD is funded by the Horizon Europe MINEYE Project .
