Short Bio

  • Dissection anatomy: anatomical dissection activities on bodies donated to science, with a focus on anatomical training and biomedical research.
  • Microenvironment in rare diseases:
    • Rare brain tumors: translational study of the tumor microenvironment in adult high-grade gliomas, with a focus on the secretome.
    • Rare neurodegenerative diseases: translational study of morpho-functional mechanisms in chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) and autosomal dominant leukodystrophy (ADLD).
    • Rare diseases involving the gut–brain axis: study of molecular and anatomical determinants in mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy (MNGIE). Investigation of the role of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in neurological diseases (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease).
  • Experimental teaching in human anatomy: design and evaluation of innovative educational interventions for learning human anatomy.
