Short Bio

Ilaria Bartolini is Full Professor at the University of Bologna; her research primarily concerns the effective and efficient management of multimedia data and mainly takes place within the MultiMedia Database Group, where she coordinates the activities of her students.

Involved in national and international research projects, she cooperates with several international research institutes; since 2018 she is the EU ICT Scientific Coordinator of the H2020 Project DETECt: Detecting Transcultural Identity in European Popular Crime Narratives.

Author of numerous publications, she received several awards and recognitions. Ilaria Bartolini is a member of IEEE and ACM SIGMOD.
