NEW Project Specification


Dear Students,

as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown, the exam rule must be modified since we can no longer test your applications in the lab and collect data with a survey for the final report.


In the following, the updated specification.

  1. Complete your project in Unity and export the .apk file.

    • The 3d scan of an object is no longer requested.

    • You can write to dr. Elena Morotti and fix a (virtual) appointment with her, to complete the project.

  2. Register to one exam date, in AlmaEsami (you will be asked to present your project on the exam date that you selected)

  3. Send me and dr. Morotti an email with a detailed report and the link where I can download the APK file, within the exam date you have selected. To pass the exam, the application must run correctly.


Since there will not be a test phase, what should you write in the report?
Differently from the previous sessions, we ask you to write:

  • a general presentation of the VR application: describe the virtual environment and what the user can do (teleporting, moving objects, …);

  • information about the digital presence of the brand/experience you have transposed into VR.

    • In the case of VR-based ecommerce of a specific brand: what about the (actual, web) e-commerce of this company? How much is it used by consumers? Strengths and weaknesses of the website? Is it investing in digital contents? In which forms and how much?

    • In the case of an event or a museum: how can we experience it nowadays? Strengths and weaknesses of how it is “accessible”. Is this brand investing in digital contents? In which forms and how much?

  • any future potential development that could be useful to make your prototypal app a commercial product;

  • a precise and critical opinion of how your VR transposition (or its future development) could be used by the brand.
