Graduated on Chemical engineering in 2010 at the National Technological University (Argentina), he got his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2016 at the University of Bologna. He has been working in the research group of Professor F. Fava since 2013, carrying out his studies in the field of valorisation of agro-industrial by-products and urban waste. In particular, the research interests are focused on the up-stream and down-stream processes for the production of carboxylic acids (carboxylate platform & chain elongation), of polyhydroxyalkanoate biopolymers (PHAs) through the use of the aforementioned carboxylic acids, and fermentation with bacteria phototrophic reds (PPB). Currently he focuses his research on the valorisation of grape pomace through the production of hexanoic acid and medium chain length PHAs biopolymers (potential elastomers / bioadhesives). He has participated since 2013 in national and international research projects, collaborates with various research groups and industries.
