Short Bio

Dr Giuseppina Pennisi is a junior assistant professor (RTDA) at the Department of Food Science and Technology. She obtained her PhD in December 2019 at the University of Turin, in collaboration with the Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena (Spain), with a thesis entitled “LED lighting for indoor cultivation of leafy vegetables and herbs”. She has participated in European projects: partner coordinator of Horizon Europe “GreenMe – Mental health for all through nature”, and Erasmus+ “LOFT -Local Food Trace”, participant of "FoodE - Food systems for European cities", "BUGI - Western Balkans urban agriculture Initiatives", "GardensToGrow", "Innofarming", "Urban Green Train". Furthermore, she is tutor for the international students challenge UrbanFarm.
