Research

The main research interest is addressed at the travel literature (reportages, diary, autobiographies) in the Italian literature of  twentieth century.  The critical point of view assumed the most recent contribute of cultural and postcolonial studies. This interest is connected with the analysis of the concept of “translation”, in the field of comparative  literature, and the effects produced by migration literature on the canon of Italian literature.

A second field of research is concerned with the writing of history, especially the intersection between historiography reconstruction of the past and fictive construction  in the contemporary novel. In short, it means to configure the changing forms of historical novel in Italy,  think about the hybridisation with others genre (detective story, docu-drama, fact-fiction) and abuot the debate of the history's ending and the post modern literature.
