I do research in Border control from a socio-legal and criminological perspective, with a special focus on the interaction between migrants and the police. I am also interested in migrants struggles and immigration courts. In general, my work is aimed at investigating the processes of criminalization and illegalization of migrants in Italy. Finally, I have also worked on prison system from a gender perspective.
