Giorgio Tassinari is full professor of Business and Economic
Statistics at the University of Bologna, Dept. of Statistics and
Faculty of Economics. He has been Head of the Dept. of Statistics
from 2000 to 2006, and member of the Board of the Italian
Statistica Society from 2002 to 2006. He has been Editor of the
journal "Statistica" from 2005 to 2016. From Fall 2017 is president of the Scientific Board of the "Walter Bigiavi" Library.
His research interests focus mainly on the distribution of income and wealth and on the methoda for assessing the impact of advertising on sales and market shares. He published more than 80 scientific works comprising articles in refereed journals, books, proceedings and reasearch reports.
