Giorgia Ferrari

PhD in DESE - Les Littératures de l'Europe Unie - European Literatures – Letterature dell'Europa Unita (Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna), Giorgia Ferrari carries out her researches in the field of Finnish, Hungarian, French and Belgian literatures and of Finno-Ugric philology, in an interdisciplinary perspective. She has conducted extensive studies, the result of prolonged experiences of field research, on the Finnish and Karelian oral tradition, with specific reference to the Viena Karelian fairy tales. She has conducted research on the Finno-Ugric tradition in various Finnish archives.

In the academic year 2023/2024, at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LILEC) of the University of Bologna, Giorgia Ferrari is teaching tutor for the course of Finnish Linguistics and Language.
