Graduated with honours in Electronic Engineering in 2008 (Bachelor) and in 2011 (Master) at the University of Bologna, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Bologna and KU Leuven University in Belgium (double degree) in 2016.

Teaching Activity

Since 2021, he is responsible for the course on Measurement Instrumentation within the Laurea Degree in Mechatronics. Previously, he has been a tutor for Measurement Instrumentation (2019-2020) and for Fundamentals of Electronics (2015-2018). He has been daily supervisor for several Bachelor and Master thesis on electronic instrumentation and measurement. 

Research Activity

Research activity within the Research Group on Electronic Design and Measurement for RF and Industrial Applications on high-frequency electronics, electronic measurements and characterization of microwave devices/systems, and on the development of techniques for electronic instrumentation. He is a reviewer for a number of high-impact journals, among which IEEE TIM, TMTT, TCAS, MWCL, Elsevier Measurement, etc., and for the European Microwave Conference. He is a member of the IEEE MTT and I&M societies, the Italian Society for Electrical and Electronic Measurement (GMEE), and ARFTG. Since 2021, he is an affiliate member of the Technical Committees 2 (Design Automation) and 3 (Microwave Measurements) of the IEEE MTT-S.
