Biographical notes and education
Gianni Gnudi was born in Bologna on May 8, 1947. He received the
laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of
Bologna in 1971. From 1973 to 1976 he was a recipient of a
fellowship for the scientific and teaching training and then
"contrattista" in the disciplinary group Automatica and
Informatics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna.

Teaching activity
In addition to the institutional activity related to the
above mentioned university positions, he has been responsible of a
variety of courses within Electronic and Biomedical
Engineering Programs. Moreover, he has held seminars in
the PhD Program of Bioengineering as well as in Courses and
Schools organized by scientific associations.
From 1982 to 1994 he has held courses in the
Specialty School in Biomedical
Technology and General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine and
Surgery, University of Bologna.
Main activity in the university organization
1997-2001 Coordinator of the University Diploma in
Biomedical Engineering
2001-2006 Coordinator of the Biomedical Engineering Course
in Biomedical Engineering (1st and 2nd level degrees).
2002-2012 Coordinator of the Commission on
Teaching of the 2nd Faculty of Engineering, Cesena
Campus.
Scientific activity
He is author or co-author of more than 100 scientific
papers, most of which published in international scientific
journals, books and proceedings of international conferences.
Since 1983, year of foundation, he is a member of the
Board of the PhD Program in Bioengineering.
He has been involved in a number of research
projects, financed by the University of Bologna, private
companies, the "Regione Emilia-Romagna", the Italian Ministry
of Education and Research, and the European Union.
