Short Bio

Professor of Diplomatic and Consular Law at the University of Bologna since 2023. He joined the ranks of the diplomatic career in March 2016 and served as Deputy Chief of the Human Rights and United Nations Office at the Directorate General for Political Affairs and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Since February 2021, he has been First Secretary at the Embassy of Italy in Cairo. PhD in International Law from La Sapienza University.
Engaged in national and international research projects in collaboration with several universities, including Cambdrige University and McGill University. Author of numerous publications, he has received several academic prizes and awards, including from McGill University, Dundee University and Trinity College. Go to the Curriculum vitae

Office hours

Receiving hours are every Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in person in the Common Room of the Teaching Hub, subject to a prior request for an appointment to be made via email with Professor Mastandrea Bonaviri or his lecturers. The lecturers will ensure in-person meetings, while meetings with Professor Mastandrea Bonaviri are held exclusively via Teams to be arranged by e-mail.
