  • March 2006 - Ph.D. in Geodynamics, University of Roma Tre. Thesis: "Structural-metamorphic evolution of the Voltri Massif (Ligurian Alps): Tectonic implications for the Alps-Apennines linkage".
  • December 2001 - M.Sc. in Geological Sciences, University of Roma Tre (110/110 cum laude). Thesis: “L’Unità di San Donato auct. nel settore tra Sangineto e Intavolata (Catena Costiera, Calabria settentrionale): caratteri dell’evoluzione strutturale-metamorfica, stime P-T e implicazioni tettoniche”.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

  • RESEARCH INTERESTS: The study of the structural-geological processes, at different scale of observation, concerning:
    • the structural characterisation of fossil and active orogenic domains;
    • the ductile-to-brittle deformation pattern in rock polyphasic fabrics;
    • the relationships between micro-deformation and blastesis in metamorphic rocks;
    • the geological modelling of complex systems related to the territorial planning.
  • MAIN SKILLS: multidisciplinary and multiscale approach, including:
    • field geology and mapping;
    • structural geology (structural data collection; deformation fabric analysis; regime and style of deformation);
    • petrography (microfabric analysis; quantitative chemical analysis of main and secondary mineralogical phases);
    • petrology (Pressure-Temperature-time-deformation history of tectono-metamorphic units);
    • geomorphology.
