SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
- RESEARCH INTERESTS: The study of the structural-geological processes, at different scale of observation, concerning:
- the structural characterisation of fossil and active orogenic domains;
- the ductile-to-brittle deformation pattern in rock polyphasic fabrics;
- the relationships between micro-deformation and blastesis in metamorphic rocks;
- the geological modelling of complex systems related to the territorial planning.
- MAIN SKILLS: multidisciplinary and multiscale approach, including:
- field geology and mapping;
- structural geology (structural data collection; deformation fabric analysis; regime and style of deformation);
- petrography (microfabric analysis; quantitative chemical analysis of main and secondary mineralogical phases);
- petrology (Pressure-Temperature-time-deformation history of tectono-metamorphic units);
- geomorphology.
