Gianluca Guerrieri was born in Bologna, on April 26th, 1971.
In 1989 he finished the High School (Liceo classico "Marco
Minghetti") and started attending the Faculty of Law of
the University of Bologna, where in 1994 he got the degree "cum
laude", by discussing a dissertation about the various
definitions of control in Italian company law.
In the same year he began to work in University with Prof.
Maffei Alberti and to help him both in teaching, and in the
activity of research.
During the years 1997-2001 he attended a Phd course ("dottorato
di ricerca") at the University "L. Bocconi", in Milano, where, in
2001, he became "dottore di ricerca", with a doctoral thesis about
factoring in bankruptcy law.
Since 2001 he has always taught at the university of Bologna, in
the period 2001-2008 as contract professor, than as associate
professor and, since 2016, full professor. Now he teaches business law and bankruptcy law in the
School of Law.
He has been coordinator of the courses in business law in the
school for legal professions "E. Redenti", where he has taught
since a.a. 2003-2004; in the period 2011-2017 he has been member of the professors committee of the
PHD course "Istituzioni e mercati, diritti e tutele", in the PHD
School of Law of the University of Bologna.
He is also member of the refereee commitee of Giurisprudenza
commerciale, Le Corti Umbre, Diritto della banca e degli intermediari finanziari, Rivista ODC, Banca, Impresa e Società and Diritto ed Economia dell’Impresa, co-director of "Le nuove leggi civili
commentate" and partner of law firm "Studio Legale Prof. Avv. Gianluca Guerrieri".
