Graduated at the University of Bologna in International Horticultural Science. Enrolled in the PhD programme of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology.
He is currently working on Bio-districts (eco-regions), alternative food systems, short supply chain and organic production. His main focus is on the social impact of bio-districts on local communities in rural areas. The case study is the Cilento Bio-district. It is used as a model to tailor a specific framework on social sustainability in similar contexts, as bio-districts are a widespread reality around the world, but there is still a lack of research on their outcomes and future developments.
