Education and academic background

Associate Professor in the academic discipline of Analysis, Design and Control of Chemical Processes (ING-IND/26) since 2019 at the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Bologna. 

From 2005 Assistant Professor (tenured since 2008) at the Department of Chemical, Mining and Environmental Engineering (DICMA) of the University of Bologna (from 2013 Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering - DICAM). Awarded with National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in July 2017.

2004 Research Grant from the Department of Chemical, Mining and Environmental Engineering (University of Bologna).

2001-2003 Ph.D in Chemical, Environmental and Safety Engineering at University of Bologna

1999 M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering

Scientific Activity

Main research fields are:

- Quantitative risk assessment of chemical and process plants with specific focus on domino effect, NaTech accidents (NAtural disasters triggering TECHnological accidents) and environmental consequences.

- Analysis, control and optimisation of flue gas treatment systems in MSWI
