Clinical activities
Clinical work is carried out in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, in the dairy farm, in the NICU and in Institute for AI of the School of Veterinary Medicine
Scientific interest
Focused on improving reproductive efficiency, mainly in equine and bovine species, by the use of assisted reproductive techniques such as AI, embryo transfer, in vitro embryo production, sexed semen, cryopreservation of gametes and embryos. Special attention has been payed to “non conventional” ultrasonographic techniques in animal reproduction, such as transvaginal ultrasound for ovum pick up in mare and cow and twins reduction in mare.
