Associate professor at the University of Ferrara since 2014, he carries out his research in the field of numerical methods for electromagnetics applied to integrated optics and to microwaves. The research interests are aimed, in particular, at the design of optical devices with applications in the telecommunications and bio-photonics sectors. Currently he's also working on the implementation of measurement setups for the characterization of integrated optical components.
He has been involved in several national and international research projects. Now he collaborates with different European research groups.
