The research is dedicated to the design, integration, and alignment of optical instruments for telescopes, both for ground-based and space-based applications, including active or adaptive optics.
Particular attention is given to the optical engineering aspect concerning optomechanical instruments, reflective and refractive optics, including deformable mirrors and lenses.
The current activity is focused on the development of the adaptive optics unit for ELT, called MORFEO.
