Curriculum vitae

Fuad Jafarli earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, graduating with honors for his high academic performance. His Master's thesis analyzed efficient use of natural resources in agriculture.

He is a PhD candidate at the University of Bologna's Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (in collaboration with ADA University: https://ada.edu.az/en). His dissertation, “Value-enhancement of rural areas: promoting environmental, economic, and social sustainability through place branding”, integrates Discrete Choice Experiments (DCE) with rural place branding to advance sustainable development.

Fuad collaborates on Horizon Europe projects like FishEUTrust and EUAqua, promoting innovation in organic fish sectors. He designs and analyzes research, publishes findings, and fosters teamwork in behavioral economics. His interests include agri-food marketing, place branding, sustainability, and rural development. Ambitious to support resilient rural economies, he seeks senior academic roles and international partnerships to bridge theory and practice.
