MD, PhD, Specialist in Medical Psychology, PdD in Clinical Psychology, Psychoanalyst, Psychotherapist. Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, teacher of Clinical Methodology and Psychosomatics, and Head of the Attachment Assessment Lab in the Department of Psychology, University of Bologna. His scientific activities focus on psychosomatics, on the clinical aspects of attachment and mentalization and on the role of the father in perinatal period. Founder Member and Board Member of the International Association of the Study of Attachment (IASA), Editor-in Chief of DMM News. He is a reliable codifier of the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) according to the Dynamic-Maturational Model of attachment and adaptation (DMM) and the author of many books on psychosomatics and on attachment.
