Francesco Falcetelli

Research fellow at the University of Bologna since 2019, he carries out his research in the field of measurements. Research interests are aimed in particular at structural monitoring using fiber optic sensors, Lamb waves, and other advanced measurement techniques.

He currently focuses his research on the development of shape sensing algorithms for measuring cables containing multiple optical fibers and on the optimization of a test bench for hydrogen storage using metal hydrides within the NoMaH (Novel Materials for Hydrogen storage) project.

He collaborates with several international research groups. He is the author of over 20 scientific publications, mainly in international journals and conferences (Scopus 01/2024).
