Francesco Casadei (Bologna 1961) has a degree in History and a PhD in History and Computer Science. For many years he has been carrying out research on several social issues of late modern Italy (history of workers' movement, history of school and university, social and cultural history of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna).
Current research interests regard the following topics: history of food, agriculture and agricultural policies; history of the urban and rural territory (also analyzed with computer applications); history of advertising and marketing ; history of university teaching and academic publishing.
He has carried out teaching and seminar activities at the University of Ancona, at Reggio Emilia campus of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and at the University of Bologna.
From the academic year 2021-22 he carries out teaching and seminar activities also at Cesena Campus of the University of Bologna.
