Francesco Alviano

Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2020, he has his research in Medical Biotechnology. Research interests are addressed in particular to Stem Cells. He currently focuses his research on the subject of differentiation potential and the immunomodulatory capacity of cellular populations derived from alternative sources such as placenta and extra-embryonic tissues. Engaged in national and international research projects, he collaborates with several national and foreign institutes. He is the author of numerous publications and a member of national and international scientific societies.
