Francesca Sparla

From 2014 Francesca Sparla is associate professor in Plant Physiology at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the University of Bologna. The main scientific interests focus on the study of primary carbon metabolism in higher plants, starting from the production of sugars through the fixation of carbon dioxide, up to study their allocation in response to water stress. Both in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches are used to conduct her studies. Involved in national research projects, she collaborates with several European research groups.
