Graduated in Semiotics from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Flavio Valerio Alessi is a Unibo PhD student for the Psychology, Science, Cognition, and Semiotics (PSCS) course.
His research project investigates the relationship between the condition of epistemic-managerial uncertainty in the medical-scientific and political-health fields and the public communication of experts during the pandemic emergency in Italy.
His research interests include interpretive semiotics, with a focus on the problem of the current lack of trust towards experts, and cognitive semiotics, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders. He took part in the European Project NeMo (NEw MOnitoring guidelines to develop innovative early childhood education and care (ECEC) teachers curricula).
