Filippo Tronconi

I am Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Bologna. My research focuses on comparative politics, with particular attention to the transformation of political parties, elites, and democratic representation. My recent work examines populism, the radical right, digital politics, and the effects of changing information environments on political beliefs. I have published extensively on the Five Star Movement and currently conduct research on the organisation, political culture, and communication of Brothers of Italy. I have coordinated the University of Bologna unit of the PRIN MiMeSys project, which focuses on misperceptions, information disorder, and polarisation among citizens, politicians, and journalists. My latest book, forthcoming with Edinburgh University Press, is entitled Brothers of Italy: Identity and Pragmatism in the Italian Radical Right. Go to the Curriculum vitae
