Filippo Briguglio is Full Professor of Institutes of Roman Law and Foundation of European Law at Department of Legal Studies of Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna.

Director of the University Course Roman Law and Contemporary Law (Roman law science in contemporary law thinking)

Director of the University Master Law and Food Safety

Director of the University Course Organic Food Law

Coordinator of the Research Unit of the University of Bologna, (Prin 2021) "About the origin. Identity, authenticity and contradictions of food"

Since 2015 to 2021 he was Coordinator of the Degree Course in Law for Business and Public Administration

He directs (with Marco Cavina and Giovanni Luchetti) the International Center for Studies on Late Antiquity "Ravenna Caput Occidentis."

Director of the "Laboratorio Gaiano" of paleography and Roman legal informatics.

Delegate for Didactic orientation of the Department of Legal Sciences (from 2001 to date)

Member of the Scientific-Editorial Committee of the LR Journal (Legal Roots) and of the ELR European Legal Roots Network

Prof. Briguglio receives students:

in Bologna on Monday after 1 pm at the end of the Institutes of Roman Law lesson in via Belmeloro 14.
