University of Bologna.
- September 1986/September 1987: visiting researcher at the
"Institute of Chemical Plants" at the University of Bologna and at
the Chemical Engineering Department, North Carolina State
University in Raleigh, North Carolina with a fellowship by
EniChem.
- October 1990: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering obtained from the
Italian Ministry for the University and Scientific Research on the
basis of a thesis entitled "Mass Transport in Solid Polymers".
